5 Ways To Tell There Will Be a Second Date

After an amazing first date, you’ll be left wondering only one thing…will I see them again? The waiting game can be nerve racking because while you know you had an incredible time, you can never be 100% certain that the other person did as well. While there are no guarantees when it comes to dating, there are certain clues that give you an insight into if there will be a second date or not. Here are 5 ways to tell if you should expect to see your date again or if you should move on to the next.
They said they would call you or couldn’t wait to see you again. I know what you’re thinking-people lie! It doesn’t matter what they say. It’s always important to take everything with a grain of salt, but remember one thing-there are people who actually mean what they say and will follow through. If a guy parts ways with you by saying “I had a wonderful time. Let’s do it again next weekend” believe him…unless your intuition tells you otherwise or your bullshit meter is ringing!
You talked about the future. Generally speaking, discussing future plans on a first date is a bit presumptuous. But if you are hitting it off with your date and mention how fun it would be to check out a gallery exhibition that you are both interested in next weekend, or he says he’d love to take you to a new wine bar in town, chances are high that there will be a second date.
You both have the absolute best time ever. If your date is one big laugh-a-thon and you never run out of things to talk about or that you have in common, who wouldn’t want that to happen again. and again. Chemistry like that can’t be faked and is very rare. If you genuinely walk away from the evening feeling like you truly connected with your date, he probably feels the same.
You hear from them soon. If you hear from your date the next day or sooner, you’re on their mind…and they probably can’t wait to see you again. Even if they are just texting to tell you to have a great day, it’s a sign that a second date is in the works. If a guy didn’t have any interest in a second date, it would be radio silence.
You feel secure. Your intuition is rarely wrong. If a guy says all the right things, but yet you leave feeling like something wasn’t there, don’t cross your fingers you’ll see them again. Of course, most everything is up in the air when you first start dating someone, but if you feel confident that things went great, and that you both are hoping to see each other again there is no reason to doubt otherwise. Of course, if it’s been a month and you’re still waiting by the phone it might be time to abandon this ship and find another.
That’s the best thing about dating though…there is always another chance to have your last first date.
