Friday’s Fashion Dating Do or Don’t? — Grills and Not the BBQ Kind…

By Juliette McGough

Recently stars have been acting more ridiculous than usual. Disney channel stars are having mental breakdowns, Mel Gibson is verbally displaying his connection to Hitler and Justin Beiber has written a book. Fortunately, one thing about these crazy incidents is that they can all be fixed. Disney can stop working 6 years olds like slaves, Mel Gibson can be thrown in the loony bin and Justin Beiber’s book can be burned. However, once in a while a star will do irreversible things that are absolutely ridiculous. Kanye West for example, has done many irreversible mistakes. First, he bashed precious Taylor Swift in front of thousands. Second, he had a permanent diamond grill put in his mouth. Permanent.

I understand that people have money and they like to show it off. However, replacing teeth with diamonds is taking it to an extreme, and making it permanent is just crazy. On a date, the last thing I want to do is lean across a table and suck face with a dude who has enough gold on his teeth to make a bracelet (you can tell how classy I keep my dates). Friday’s Fashion Dating Do or Don’t? — Baggy Pants…

By Juliette McGough

Women, and men, will do things to impress their date while on a date, unless the date is going horribly and then maybe they will try to impress someone else, like the waitress. Either way, they are trying to impress someone. Dressing like a prisoner is probably not the route one would take to impress their date. I’m not saying your date is going to be head to tow in bright orange and they most likely (hopefully) will not be wearing a jump suit (and if they are…creepy). However, when your date shows up and he is wearing his pants down to his knees, he will look straight out of a prison yard. Click here to read more…

Thursday’s Thoughts From a Bartender: Ladies – What Your Button Style Says About Your Dating Style

By Jack Elliot

The amount of buttons a person leaves undone can say a lot about them. I think its safe to assume that someone who leaves many a button undone would on most occasions not mesh well with someone who buttons all the way up to the neck. In regards to this topic though, a great question to ask is: what do men think of the way a women buttons her shirt? The stereotypical point of view would almost make it seem that in the male-ideal-fantasy world, women should just disregard buttoning altogether. But is there validity to this viewpoint? Or do most men prefer otherwise? Click here to read more…

Friday’s Fashion Dating Do or Don’t? — Parachute Pants…

By Juliette McGough

Although parachute pants are trying to make a comeback, lets all hope they don’t.
Parachute pants, which were originally designed as menswear, were an acceptable article of clothing for a total of four years in the early 1980s. They were usually bright colored and looked great while break dancing or doing the centipede. Unfortunately in today’s world, the centipede is only performed by drunk, distant relatives at awkward family weddings. If you’re lucky, you might see it on Youtube when a drunken frat boy attempts it, and usually fails.

Friday’s Fashion Dating Do or Don’t? — Turtlenecks…

By Juliette McGough

Why is a turtleneck one of the worst articles of clothing you could own? Because you literally look like a turtle when you wear one. Whoever decided to add a tube of extra fabric to the neck of a shirt should be exiled from society and sent back into the wilderness of Nebraska or South Dakota, where a turtleneck is an accepted article of clothing for activities such as turkey hunting.
